Have you ever written a letter (or) your notes for a specific subject?
If Yes, how you organize the content in it?.
You will put a heading with different font sizes, content in another font size, you will draw images with pencil, etc… in a systematic manner.
Similarly, wireframing gives a view/blueprint of how the elements (or) features, control, images, buttons video, search box, etc…
will be arranged in the app systematically.
This is very essential before you start building your mobile app.
Without this you may miss some features (or) your app may not be effective &efficient in design and functionality.
In my observations, I have found this is similar to UX design.
Here, you will assign the different positions to different features, elements, icons, text, images, video, etc. On your mobile screen.
This is very difficult to do at the beginning.
Because of your screen space (area of your mobile screen).
But, it’s not impossible.
If you have opened YouTube you can see the icon sizes, font sizes video sizes before and after clicking on the video, etc…
This will, directly and indirectly, represent the wireframing of the app.
