Before, I begin. Please, answer my questions.

Have you ever tried to cook food & tasted it?
Have you ever went for a test drive to buy your new bike (or) car? Have you ever tried a new video game?
Have you ever tried to do routine things differently?
Have you ever tried to taste a new item in a hotel (or) restaurant?. Have you ever tried to wear trendy(or) stylish clothes which were launched recently?
Have you ever tried to speak with someone you love to tell “I love you?”
Also…
Have you ever tried in your childhood days to reach out to your parents to show them your progress report filled with “F’s”(fails)? (Or) got less Mark’s?.
If you were in at least one situation “which I have told you”, then you have already done a “mockup”.
What???
Yes, mockup means testing in front of the public, by the public, from the public.
I.e., expressing (or) showing your mobile app idea in front of the public(people) Then, your app will be tested by the public and you will receive feedback from the public.
That’s it. Is it simple?. Hell NO… Why?.
Because the public doesn’t mean by the people surround you.
But instead, the people who can understand your app and the problem you are solving.
For example:-
You can’t mockup (or) test your ice cream in Antarctica.
Can you?.
You can’t mockup (or) test your hot coffee in the Sahara desert at noon. Can you?.
Guess what, they will kick you off.
Similarly, to test (mockup) your app idea “first” figure it out what kind of problem it solves (you already know the answer’s which made you build this app).
Then, find out the people who are facing that (similar) problem? (or) who already has a little bit of knowledge on it?.
But, this will also depend on what kind of app you are building?.
1. If your app related to online food delivery, shopping, social media, gaming, messaging etc…
Prefer to show it to college students. Because they are best in using those platforms.
2. If your app related to travelling, adventure, ticket booking etc… Prefer to show it to travelers (you can find it in airports, railway stations, bus stations, etc.
But… I will also prefer to show them to students first. Because they will also use these kinds of apps.
Also, they can understand better and they will have enough patience & straightforwardness to give you better results.
3. If your app related to health, arts & crafts, meditation, yoga etc… Prefer to show it to your parents, family, friends, health and fitness centers including students.
4. Last but not least,
If your app related to cybersecurity, threat protection etc…
Take a long breath and show it to big companies, national security experts, etc. Because “you deserve their response and respect”.
Always keep in mind, “it does not matter what kind of you are testing in public”.
But…
You need to maintain a specific body lay, dressing sense, and carry a pad and pen (or) use a spreadsheet.
Please, don’t reach them out “like a beggar holding a million-dollar cheque in his hand”.
Now, Introduce yourself & tell them “what problem you are trying to solve and show them your app and advise them to be honest and note down their feedback.
For motivation:- Don’t treat them as a group of people. Instead, treat them like your future customers who will love and use your app.
Conclusion:- Now, you know what does a mockup mean. Then, what are you waiting for, make a simple prototype of your app & add basic functionality to it, and mockup it? All the best & never give up.
