It is really important to test & analyze your app idea with others (your future clients/ customers) such that you can figure out “how your users think, feel and understand your app.

This is important and very useful.
Because…
You can figure out what people like and don’t like about your app idea.
Then, you can modify your app idea by adding (or) removing some features.
This will save you time, energy, and money before you begin to build your app.
This will also boost your confidence level as you have already started interacting with your future customers (your mobile app users). Congratulations!.
Concept testing is not rocket science & you will be using it in almost every aspect of your life.
Just Imagine you went to a shop to buy your new clothes along with your friend.

Then, you will try different styles of clothes (or) dresses (especially women) and you will ask your friend's opinion/advice on how it looks upon you.
Then, you try some more clothes or dresses until you get the best response from your friend which gives you utmost satisfaction.
This is similar and even the same to test your mobile app concept.

But, Don’t show your app idea to everyone who is in your way, at the beginning itself.
First, ask your friends from whom you can expect a humble & reliable response (not from the one who praises all your work, who will praise you although you do shit, it may be good for you but not for your app idea).
Then, show it to your family members and others whom you can trust for humble response & good advice.
This is very simple. isn’t it?.
Conclusion:-
Now, sketch your app on paper and note down some points on its features and…
What problem it solves and write down “what your friends, family & others (you trust) will say about your app idea(write this on a separate book)”.
If the response is not good…
Don’t worry they have already given you the clue on “what is not good in your app and you have already noted that (in your feedback)”.
Now, refine your app with the feedback you have received.
This is how you filter your app and makes it perfect.
